We are excited to chat with Tracey, the creative behind the gorgeous headwear brand Scarlett & Wolfe. From vintage inspired crowns to hand painted floral pieces and full on black spikey alternative gothic inspired crowns, Tracey has you covered for your unique headwear for your big day!
Tell us a bit about you, the person behind the brand?
I'm Tracey, Owner, designer and maker of all things colourful, spiky and quirky, at Scarlett and Wolfe Headwear! I love anything sci-fi and Jane Austen, quite a combo I know! Obsessed with crispy wontons!
How did your vision/passion begin?
I began designing headpieces after a friend asked me to make her a headpiece for Halloween and it just took off from there. I've always been creative and enjoyed the process.
What’s your favourite part of doing what you do?
My favourite part is seeing it all just come together when I'm making a headpiece, especially if I'm using vintage or preloved elements. I love searching for them and figuring out how to use them in my designs.
What one piece of advice would you give to couples?
My one piece of advice for couples is never forget it's about both of you first and foremost, family and friends are important but don't lose sight of how you both want to have your day.
What attracted you to our alternative wedding fair?
I think alternative weddings/ wedding suppliers have been under represented especially in Scotland so that's what attracted me to The Scottish Wedding Unconvention. I love the fun, party vibe and can't wait for the show!
Who is your biggest icon, and why?
There are a lot of people I admire, I adored Betty White, Miriam Margolyes is my spirit animal and I love Hedy Lamarr, Judy Garland, Audrey Hepburn, the list is endless, I named all my headpieces after Hollywood actors.
What’s for dinner?
Having pasta tonight as I'm so lazy and don't like cooking so it's as quick as I can get it on the plate!
We absolutely lovely all those amazing people too. All strong independent, intelligent women. Especially Miriam Margoyles what a woman!!! Many of our suppliers are also inspired by vintage Hollywood icons.
